Changes since the previous stable firmware include:

  • MMS audio/video streaming protocol support
  • Improvements to the volume control functionality
  • IP Control to enable foreign devices to interact with the Dune HD (using 3rd party applications)
  • Improved Flash Lite support
  • Setup improvements
  • Online firmware upgrades no longer require external storage
  • Various bugfixes and usability improvements

 

Changes since the previous unstable version of firmware include:

  • Bugfix: Specific M2TS files could not be played.
  • Bugfix: Specific MP4 files (such as files from specific video cameras) could be played without sound on HDMI output.
  • Bugfix: DVB-T channels scan failed in specific cases in some countries/locations.
  • Bugfix: icons loading could fail in some cases for some applications (such as KartinaTV).
  • Bugfix: some Blu-ray discs could not be played in specific cases ("Securiry Violation" error was produced).
  • Bugfix: Restarting optical disc playback (after stopping the playback of the same disc) could not work in some cases.

Cineversum Announces a New Generation of BlackWing HD Projector with 3D capability!


Cineversum, a cutting-edge brand of video products for the residential market, has announced their new BlackWing MK2011 Series digital video projectors.

The BlackWing series is a state-of-the-art home cinema full-HD 1080P digital projector. It houses the latest technologies available on the market such as three 1920x1080 LCoS panels, HDMI 1.4 connections and active 3D projection. 

The BlackWing One, Two and Three MK2011 replaces the previous BlackWing MK2010 models that have been acclaimed and awarded all around the globe.

The ultra-quiet projector is housed within a futuristic deep metallic-black ABS plastic chassis designed by the famed French designer Antoine Béon. The design celebrates the concept of speed and precision with an unforgettable futuristic shape reminiscent of the Stealth Fighter; hence, the name BlackWing.

3D projection was obviously the most awaited feature of the new BlackWing Series. The Cineversum engineers worked very hard to make 3D look as realistic as possible. 

Front Back 3D Glasses

For projection on cinemascope screens, the BlackWing series can easily be retrofitted with their proprietary Cine-Twist Anamorphic solution. Thanks to a bespoke motorised anamorphic system the user will be able to switch from the classic 16:9 aspect ratio to a breathtaking Cinemascope format. The exclusive Cineversum Theatre Mode made this possible. 

The BlackWing Series utilises the Crystal Motion ® algorithm. Crystal Motion ® is a frame interpolation method which brings an immersive experience to sport, concerts and TV shows. By using this technology, the image becomes more realistic and three-dimensional without motion blur or artifacts. 

The BlackWing One comes with 7 preset Picture Modes that the installer or the user can modify according to their taste. On the BlackWing Two and Three an eighth Picture Mode, TH-PRO, has been added and optimised for movie watching in a dedicated cinema room. An Expert Calibration Menu (via RS232) and CMS functions (Color Management System for colour calibration) are available for advanced installers.
